This privacy policy describes how SuperChipmunk collects, uses, and protects information when you use the desktop application and the website at superchipmunk.app.
2. How the App Works
SuperChipmunk is a desktop application that detects nail-biting using your webcam and on-device AI. The application runs entirely locally — no webcam images, video frames, or visual data are transmitted online, stored on servers, or shared with third parties. The AI model runs locally on your device without making internet requests. Webcam feeds are processed in real time and immediately discarded after analysis.
3. Data We Collect
3.1 Purchase Data
Name, email address, and payment information collected through Stripe. Credit card details are not stored by us — Stripe handles payment processing compliant with PCI-DSS standards.
3.2 License Data
License keys, activation status, and device identifiers to enforce our one-device-per-license policy. Each license grants one year of updates from the date of purchase.
3.3 Detection Analytics (Opt-in)
If you enable “Share Data” in Settings, anonymized detection metrics (catch counts, streak times, experience points) and reported detection events (computed feature values only) are sent to our servers. This data consists of numerical values only and cannot identify you personally. You can disable sharing at any time.
3.4 Scoreboard Data
If you opt in to data sharing, your anonymized stats (level, XP, streaks) may appear on the public scoreboard. Only a truncated device identifier is shown — no personal information (email, name, or payment details) is ever displayed.
3.5 No Webcam Data
We do not collect, store, transmit, or access any images, video, or visual webcam data. Ever.
4. GDPR Compliance
SuperChipmunk is fully GDPR compliant. Detection analysis runs entirely on-device with no data transmission. Anonymized analytics do not constitute personal data under GDPR as they cannot identify individuals. You may request deletion of any account data by contacting support.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties. Stripe is the sole exception, receiving only the information necessary for payment processing.
6. Cookies
The website uses essential cookies for authentication and session management only. We do not use tracking or third-party advertising cookies.
7. Children's Privacy
SuperChipmunk is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
Updates to this privacy policy will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of SuperChipmunk constitutes acceptance of any revisions.
